Selangor & Pulau Pinang Bukti Perubahan Kerajaan Boleh Ke Arah Yang Lebih Baik Demi Rakyat

MEDIA STATEMENT
Selangor & Pulau Pinang Proof That Government Change Can Be Positive For The People
Claims made by Prime Minister Najib Razak that changing the government in the 14th General Election is "not a solution" is a statement filled with panic, cynicism, and completely baseless.
In fact, the allusions made by PM Najib that changing the government might cause Malaysia to follow the fate of Iraq makes little sense as the economic, social, and political realities in Malaysia differ greatly from practically all the Middle Eastern countries that experienced the Arab Spring.
The clearest success stories of opposition political parties taking over and governing well can be seen in Selangor and Penang. Both states were won by federal opposition parties in GE-12 and continue to be administered until today without major scandals like 1MDB or FGV, which we need no reminding took place under the watch of PM Najib himself.
In fact the strongest argument for positive change brought about by a change from UMNO-BN to the opposition was given by none other than Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi himself, who said that UMNO-BN was rejected by the people of Selangor in GE-12 and GE-13 and they have to work hard to win back the state.
Therefore Malaysians should not be afraid by such irresponsible political fear-mongering. Pakatan Harapan leaders including Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah, and Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad have already declared our readiness to take over Putrajaya in order to save the people and the nation from the shackles of GST and the mega scandals of 1MDB and FGV.
Perhaps PM Najib and DPM Zahid should sit down together to ensure that their messaging does not run contrary to each other as we saw today in Lipis and Sabak Bernam. And should they be able to sit down together, I hope the message that they can bring to the people should not be based on fear, but rather they should give the assurance that no matter who administers Putrajaya, the rights of the people as enshrined in our laws and the Federal Constitution will not be eroded.
